David Walliams lost his contract with longtime publisher.
Prolific writer for children and TV personality David Walliams is no longer with his publisher HarperCollins UK, as confirmed by the firm.
An official for the firm said: "After careful consideration, and following the appointment of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing future works by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the conclusion was made after an inquiry regarding claims about conduct deemed unsuitable directed at women.
The company declined to specify the motivations for this action, stating: "It is not our policy to discuss internal matters."
A Prolific Publishing History
Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over in excess of 60 million copies internationally in five dozen languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.
Some of his works, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into TV movies.
His bibliography includes in excess of 40 works altogether, which features a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins this past October.
From Screen to Page
He first rose to fame on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to charity and the arts.
This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss last fall.
