'Living a Nightmare': Loved Ones of Missing Teens Desperately Seek Information After Alpine Inferno
The loved ones of teenagers missing after a deadly fire at a bar in a Switzerland's winter destination are enduring an painful wait for answers and pleading for any details about their family members online.
The inferno engulfed the Le Constellation bar in the alpine resort, located in the Swiss Alps of south-west Switzerland, in the early hours of New Year's Day. Circulated video reveal the ceiling catching alight as beverages with fireworks are raised in celebration.
Emergency services have stated that it could take days if not weeks to formally name the those who perished of the tragedy, which killed 40 people and wounded another scores more. A spokesperson stated on the latest update that 113 of the those hurt have been accounted for, with work still underway to identify the final individuals.
In the waiting period, families and friends have been posting on social media to appeal for clues about their loved ones who were present at the venue that fateful night.
Desperate Searches for the Missing
The whereabouts of teenager from Switzerland Arthur Brodard, sixteen, are not yet determined, according to an heartfelt request from his parent.
